FAQS
Why do you build in WordPress?

Why WordPress? Good question! It has been estimated that roughly 40% of all websites on the internet use WordPress. WordPress is highly adaptable and customizable, and makes it easy to add or update your content. It is affordable (open source), flexible, works great with 3rd-party tools and follows accessbility standards. WordPress makes SEO easier, loads quickly, and is mobile responsive.
What is responsive web design?
Responsive web design, or a site that is mobile responsive means the site will adapt to fit the size of the device it is being viewed on, whether it is a desktop monitor, laptop, tablet or smart phone. How long will it take to build my website?
Typically, a build can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on a number of factors. The size of your site, availability of content (text, images, videos, etc), and other requirements specific to your site, such as ecommerce and email capabilities are all factors.
What domain should I choose?
Chose a domain name that is simply and easy to remember. The most well-known and popular domain for for-profit businesses is .com. Because of its popularity, you may have a hard time coming up with a suitable .com domain for your business. Alternatives include .net (often associated with web-based applications and services), .org (for non-profit organizations), .co (for companies, corporations, commercial ventures), or .us (reserved to citizens and entities in the U.S.) Additionally, there are more than 1,500 other TLDs available. Here’s a great article from web.com about TLDs (top level domains).
How many pages does a typical website have?
The size and number of pages on every website varies, because every business is unique. Factors include the type and complexity of your business, the number of products and services offered, and the amount of interaction with your visitors, to name a few. Your site might benefit from a simple 5-page site, or require a larger and more comprehensive site, possibly with ecommerce, depending on the complexity of your operation. Where can I find high-quality photos for my website?
Many images you see on the internet are copyrighted, which is a form of legal protection automatically given to the creator as soon as the image is made. This means the creator of the image must be recognized and, in most cases, compensated, for the use of their image. You do not want to use someone else’s image without their permission.
